Did the Mason’s invent ginger ale?

At my friend’s house last night after seeing Snakes on a Plane (yes I succumbed to the hype, though I still haven’t seen Titanic yet) I was offered a ginger ale. This got me thinking, almost everytime I fly, I order a ginger ale when the flight attendants push around the cart o’ knee death. It also never fails that most of the passengers around me order the same. Now I can’t speak for them but I never buy ginger ale. I don’t buy many softdrinks in the first place but when I do, it’s always root beer or cream soda, possibly Coke in a pinch but never ginger ale. Same with parties, if I’m through drinking or want to take a break (not often enough) I will always pick ginger ale over the other carbonated sugar water choices. So listen up terrorists, if you want to take out planes go to Canada and poison the Schweppes and Canada Dry factories. Ok, maybe that won’t take planes out but at least you’ll get me.

I’m off to see the wizard

At the end of the month I’m moving to the Emerald City aka Seattle. If you’ve been watching my del.icio.us links you probably figured as much. I’ve been planning on moving for quite some time but I haven’t blogged about it until now since people I work with read my blog. I visited Boston and Chicago, both of which were in the running but settled on Seattle. Less traffic, fewer strip malls, more progressives, better art and music scene, cooler temperatures and quick access to snow and the ocean were a few of my reasons for choosing Seattle. Of course you do have crappy weather eight months out of the year but I think the tradeoffs are worth it. Washington will be the fifth state (see map below) I’ve lived in during my twenty-nine years on this planet. My last day at work is the 31st and I should be leaving on the first or second of September. Now I just need some money, a job and a place to live and I’ll be set.

My route so far.

A. Houston, TX to Charlotte, NC

B. Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX

C. Austin, TX to Clayton, CA

D. Clayton, CA to Charlotte, NC

E. Charlotte, NC to Atlanta, GA

F. Atlanta, GA to Seattle, WA

Last night I logged into , sold all my stuff, gave away the gold and deleted my characters. I then cancelled my account and uninstalled the game. I know won’t be hurting though, their playerbase continues to grow faster than Bush’s poll numbers are dropping.
