I admit it, I bought a beer bottle koozie. Secretly I’ve wanted one for a while but the stigma (is there a stigma or is it all in my head) of it has always held me back. I finally broke down and bought one the other day. It is an Atlanta Falcons design not one of the “I’d rather be fishing” or some other redneckish saying. Ok, I know that doesn’t make it any better but humor me a bit. It does have a functional use though, I tend to drink beer slowly at home so it does help to keep the beer cold. That’s my excuse take it or leave it. I guess it’s not that bad, if I start putting confederate flag stickers on my car then I’ll have a problem.

I just stopped smoking again (about two hours ago). I started when I was about nineteen after a bad break up and continued for a few years. I stopped for the past three or four but picked it up again when I was in Vegas back in May. I really liked being a nonsmoker I saved a lot of money, I didn’t smell, no abnormal running out of breath, no jonesing for a smoke during a movie or flight. Smoking has it’s benefits though, well maybe not benefits but positives of a bad habit. If you’re really stressed out it cuts the edge and it does give you a buzz. Of course that goes away once you’re hooked, you just get antsy when you don’t have one for a while. Actually antsy is to week of a word, you turn into an ass if you don’t have one for a while. Then there is the “cool” factor or “bad boy” aspect, at least that’s what Hollywood shoves down our throats and I think a lot of people buy into it, including myself at times. Now i’m down to one vice, alcohol. Let’s see if I can keep it that way.

going to be coughing for a few days
